The Easton Arts Council will again host its annual Photo Contest and Exhibition in November. To enter, bring your framed photographs to the Easton Public Library Community Room either on Saturday, Nov. 5 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., or on Sunday, Nov. 6 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Members of the Arts Council will receive the photographs for entry and hang them for display in the Community Room between 11a. m. and 1 p.m. on Nov. 6. Adger Cowans, the juror, will review the photographs for judging later in the week, and the show will open officially Nov. 9, with a reception and awards ceremony to follow on Saturday, Nov. 19 from 7 to 10 p.m.

Photographers of all levels are welcome to submit their photographs in one of two categories: LOCAL or GENERAL.

The local category must feature photographs taken in Easton. Photographs taken in the local category are eligible for inclusion in next year’s Easton Arts Council Calendar. The winning photograph in this category goes on permanent display in Easton Town Hall.

General photograph entries may be taken anywhere; the photographer chooses the subject.

Each of the first-place winners will receive a $100 cash award, and other photographers may receive certificates and ribbons at the judge’s discretion.

The entry fee is $10 per photograph, limit of two.

Details about the contest, including entry forms, are also available on our website, eastonartscouncil.org/upcomingevents.
