Over the weekend, the Easton Police Department collected 125 pounds of unused and expired prescription and over-the-counter drugs bound for disposal by Nation Guard soldiers in Bridgeport and Special Agents from the DEA. “This is incredible considering we take in a fair amount every month from our dropbox in the PD lobby,” said Easton Police Chief Richard Doyle.
The local collection was part of National Drug Take Back Day. For those who missed the opportunity, drugs may be deposited in the lobby drop box anytime for the safety of everyone, especially children.
