After over 260 years serving this community and based on a comprehensive assessment of the aging church building and grounds, Christ Church’s leadership announces the start of its long-anticipated and needed Capital Campaign: BUILDING for TOMORROW.
The campaign will raise funds for specific capital improvements, including:
- Repairing existing water lines so that the tap water complies with all state-mandated requirements.
- Replacing the church’s large glass window and wood framing, which is no longer watertight.
- Installing a new septic system to replace the current antiquated system that is insufficient to service the needs of the church as well as Christ Church Nursery School located in the basement.
“Christ Church seeks to build and be a community of love in our town and beyond, and we hope our neighbors will ensure we can do so well into the future by supporting these urgently needed repairs,” said Reverend Ally Brundige, Priest-in-Charge.
The mission of Christ Church includes supporting Equity and Inclusion and Pride/Racial Justice, as well as sponsoring local community events such as Concerts on the Hill and the annual Halloween 5K race.
The BUILDING for TOMORROW campaign is seeking to raise $100,000 to cover the cost of these improvements and the campaign will run through the spring. Visit https://www.christchurcheaston.com/give for more information.
