With his paint brushes and easel, John Forgione captures Easton through his artistic eye. You may have spotted him painting “en plein air” around town at many of the local farms, barns and historic homes.
“Many people approach me out in the field, and if they’re interested, I’ll ask them if they want to paint,” said Forgione. “I don’t just hand them a brush, I’ll explain what I’m doing, the energy I’m feeling, demo how to lay down the paint, and then let them add a few strokes to my canvas. Some people are afraid, but most are immediately engaged and very happy to share the experience. The return of love and positive energy has opened my mind, and is another wonderful reward.”
