J. Neil Bittner’s “Painting with Light” stained glass exhibit will be on display in the library’s small gallery from May 15 through June 30. The opening reception is Saturday, May 20 from 4 to 7 p.m. The exhibit is curated by Dolly Curtis.

The works of master contemporary artist J. Neil Bittner are extensive in scope and displayed throughout the world in private art collections. The artist’s award-winning works are represented in six different mediums: oil painting collage, serigraphy, oil painting, stained glass, photography, and sculpture.

The Bittner residence, studio and galleries are a work of art unto themselves. From the upstairs grand gallery with massive beams and architectural details create a sun-filled cupola with stained glass and woodland views. Bittner’s unique living and studio space are surrounded by natural woodland and rocky hillsides. He designed, engineered and hand-built his home in Sandy Hook that he shares with his wife Sandy. His accomplished and diverse award-winning works reach across all mediums. He is truly is a very talented, Contemporary-Renaissance man.

Bittner’s works of fine art are marked by precision and aesthetics that evoke a powerful emotional connection with the viewer.
