Easton officials are reminding dog owners that June is dog licensing month in Connecticut.
State law requires that all dogs six months of age or older be licensed or have their license renewed during the month of June. The cost is $8 for altered dogs and $19 for unaltered dogs. A $1 late fee per dog will be charged each month for those who are late. The license is valid from July 1 through June 30, 2024. All licensed dogs must wear the tag on a collar around their neck. Dogs new to you that are six months or older must be licensed within 30 days of acquiring them.

Residents can renew a dog license online by clicking here. All license(s) and tag(s) will be mailed to you.
If this is your first time licensing your dog you will need to fill out an application. For more than one dog, you only need to complete the dog information for the additional dogs. Be sure to include applicable fees (checks are payable to Town of Easton), and a self-addressed stamped envelope. Your license(s) and tag will be mailed to you. Click here to download the application.
Dogs must have a valid rabies vaccination card. If your dog does not have a current rabies vaccination, please make arrangements to have the vaccination prior to licensing. If you have any questions about the expiration date on file with the Town Clerk, please email townclerk@eastonct.gov.
