To the Editor:
Easton has the chance to be led by one of the strongest, most collaborative, and most knowledgeable teams in its history. I am excited to endorse the entire Republican slate and its many talented candidates like Wendy Bowditch, First Selectman candidate, Kristi Sogofsky, incumbent Selectman, and Darin Bershefsky, candidate for Region 9 Board of Education.
Darin possesses leadership skills and experience needed at the Regional school board level, and with children in the school district, I know he will be guided, always, by what is best for the students.
As someone who values hard work and community involvement, I admire Wendy and Kristi’s extensive track record of volunteerism across multiple boards and commissions. I am delighted to see this level of commitment exists in every Republican candidate up for election in Easton.
With 75 years of collective team experience, Wendy and Kristi will make history as they look to lead an all-female leadership team at Easton’s Town Hall, yet another reason I support their candidacy. We all benefit by having more women in leadership roles – most especially at the municipal level where voters have a significant, direct impact on what happens in their hometowns.
From schools, to farms, to natural resources and first responders, Easton Republicans have a clear vision for the future, and that is why I encourage every resident to vote for them on November 7.
