To the Editor:
Easton deserves leaders who not only say the right things, but who also do the right things. Our Democratic leaders and candidates have demonstrated their transparency, integrity, and inclusivity. Since taking the First Selectman seat in 2019, Dave Bindelglass has prioritized making Easton welcoming. He has improved transparency and is a champion for our schools, seniors, watershed, and open space. In addition, Dave has provided ways for Easton residents to improve the lives of Ukrainian citizens.
Our town’s unique partnership with Sviatohirsk, Ukraine has allowed our town the opportunity to provide financial and emotional support to a sister community in need. By reaching beyond our borders, Dave has united our town for the greater good by giving our community the opportunity to not only show compassion but also act, further demonstrating that Easton supports our neighbors in town and across the world.
Nick D’Addario, Democratic candidate for Selectman, serves on the Planning and Zoning Commission, and is a strong proponent of transparent and inclusive leadership. He shares Dave’s commitment to protecting our open spaces and farms, top-tier schools, and services for our seniors. As a local business owner, Nick understands the importance of keeping Easton affordable and providing strong leadership and service.
On Nov. 7, I urge you to vote Row A for the team who has demonstrated leadership, transparency, and integrity.
