The Easton Arts Council presents its Winter Celebration of the Arts on Saturday, Jan. 13 from 7 to 10 p.m. in the community room of the Easton Public Library. The artist’s reception is open to the public and includes refreshments, music, and a chance to view the beautiful artwork on the walls.

The show includes photos, watercolors, oils, weaving and collages with a total of 48 pieces. All are available for purchase. The show runs through Feb. 10 and is available for viewing during the Library hours of operation.

The purpose of the Easton Arts Council is to promote the arts in Easton and provide a venue for artists to exhibit their work and communicate with one another. In the last two years, the Arts Council has been the recipient of two Connecticut Humanities Grants worth over $10,000. The council has used these grants to help improve the lighting and the sound system in the library community room.
