To the Editor:

As a former Republican, I voted for local GOP candidates in past elections while voting against Trump. The Connecticut Republican Party’s clever use of the term “local control” hides concerning details in Trump’s “Agenda 47,” which threatens local autonomy and seeks to enforce political and religious conformity.

Instead, I’m proud to support Rob Blanchard, who plans to expand access to affordable childcare, incentivize renewable energy, and reduce utility costs. As a conservationist, I appreciate his plan to work with land trusts to preserve and steward more land. His forward-thinking policies will benefit Easton and provide the strategic leadership Connecticut needs.
