In this pivotal election, we stand at a crossroads that will define our nation’s future. As Democrats, we believe that democracy, our freedoms, and the well-being of every American are at stake.

The choice is clear: this election is about the soul of our country, not just policy. The Republican Party is now synonymous with Trumpism, and many Republicans refuse to denounce Trump or Project 2025. If implemented, their agenda could dismantle our institutions and Constitution, ushering in an era of authoritarianism that threatens our fundamental rights.
The contrast between the parties’ visions for America couldn’t be starker. We are facing unprecedented challenges, from threats to reproductive rights to an economy that must serve everyone. Our survival as a constitutional democracy requires strong leaders who can navigate the way forward. The Democratic slate is the firewall we need to ensure access to quality education, fair wages, safe communities, and a commitment to upholding the Constitution.
Leading our ticket, Kamala Harris and Tim Walz bring integrity, experience, and an economic plan that would benefit the middle class and sustain the U.S. economic recovery, which is the envy of the world. Their commitment to reproductive freedom, healthcare, and climate policies, coupled with a willingness to work across party lines, sets them apart as leaders for our time.
Our Congressional Democratic incumbents, Senator Chris Murphy and Congressman Jim Himes, have been great representatives for Connecticut, securing infrastructure funding and advocating for common-sense gun legislation, advancing civil rights and reproductive freedom while standing firm against Republican opposition. We must send them back to Washington — their work is crucial for our future.
Locally, state Rep. Anne Hughes (HD 135) has demonstrated that empowered leaders can leverage relationships in Hartford for Easton’s benefit. She has been a powerful ally for Easton, a fierce defender of reproductive and civil rights, and secured the bonding for our EMS building that’s essential for community safety. We need to re-elect Hughes to ensure Hartford prioritizes our needs.
Now, it’s time we have that kind of representation in Senate District 28 and House District 112. Rob Blanchard (SD 28) offers a real opportunity to advance Easton’s agenda in the state Senate. His town governance experience and commitment to job creation will strengthen our economy. By increasing municipal aid, he’ll support local services and collaborate with stakeholders to enhance reproductive and preventative health access, protect natural resources, and address the talent gap, showcasing his vision for a prosperous Connecticut.
Beth Cliff for state representative (HD 112) is an exceptional leader, community organizer, activist, and advocate for reproductive healthcare. Beth is dedicated to protecting basic freedoms, focusing on community needs, and bringing resources back to the 112th. She is the right choice to ensure our voices are heard and our rights are defended.
Join us in supporting the Democratic slate. These leaders will tackle the challenges we face and safeguard our future. Together, we can ensure that every voice is heard, every right protected, and show that our commitment to democracy is unwavering.
