The Easton Garden Club has a history of giving back to the community. Stories of members decorating the town date back to the year it was founded in 1938. Easton’s small-town charm is timeless as is the club’s dedication to spreading some holiday cheer! Opening Nov. 1 at eastongardenclubofct.org/wreathsale, our annual Wreath & Poinsettia Sale funds activities benefitting our Easton community.

A little known fact is that the Easton Garden Club decorates the town’s landmark buildings. Easton Garden Club members start with the Easton Public Library and head across the street, placing fresh pine wreaths with their brilliant red bows on the Town Hall building. They then spread out to Easton EMS, Easton Volunteer Fire Company, the Senior Center, Adam’s schoolhouse, and more. The large potted planters also receive special touches with seasonal greens.

The Wreath and Poinsettia Sale opens Nov 1. We invite you to place an order online at the Easton Garden Club’s website: eastongardenclubofct.org/wreathsale or download a mail-in form. Mail-in order forms are also found at the front desk in Town Hall, the Easton Public Library and as an insert in the November Senior Center newsletter. Ordering deadline is Nov 15 for mail-in orders and Nov 25 for online orders. Scheduled curbside pickup happens on Dec. 2 between 1 to 6 p,m, at the Easton Public Library community room courtyard.

The Easton Garden Club is excited to feature a variety of festive items to brighten your home this holiday season. Available for purchase are: double-sided undecorated wreaths, white pine roping, poinsettias in multiple colors and sizes, decorative holiday logs, and winter seed sowing kits.

This year, we are especially excited to present wreaths and holiday decorations from The Magnolia Company, handmade for the Easton Garden Club. The Magnolia Company is a family-owned farm with a remarkable 250-year heritage. As stewards of the land across generations, they are deeply committed to sustainability, ensuring the preservation of the environment and natural resources for the future. These unique creations are highly sought after, so be sure to place your order early before they sell out.

For those who are new to winter seed sowing, it is a wonderful gardening activity for children and adults alike. To make your garden more pollinator friendly, simply toss these “seed bombs” into your existing flowerbeds, fields, or place into a pot or planter. These hard-to-find Native Ecotype Seed Ball Truffles or “Seed Bombs” make wonderful gifts for the holidays.

Each kit comes with planting instructions and support from our conservation committee Easton Pollinator Pathway project members who hand roll the seed bombs. Anyone interested in being a part of the pollinator pathway project can take the pledge and proudly share your efforts to help our native pollinators thrive by purchasing an Easton Pollinator Pathway yard sign.

Thank you so much for your continued support. We can’t wait to help you bring holiday cheer to your home, just as we do around town this festive season. Visit us at eastongardenclubofct.org for more information about who we are and what we do.
