This Veterans Day, Easton comes together as a community to honor the men and women who have served in our nation’s armed forces. Veterans Day is a day of remembrance and an opportunity to express our profound gratitude for the courage, sacrifices and unwavering dedication our veterans have shown to protect our freedoms.
Local Veterans Day tradition brings area residents to the Stepney Green in Monroe, where the Easton community gathers to salute our veterans. The dedication and service of these heroes among us exemplifies the values that bind us as a nation and as a community: resilience, compassion and an enduring sense of duty.
Let us each take a moment today to thank a veteran, to listen to their stories and to remember that their service is a gift we enjoy every day. May we carry their spirit forward in our own acts of kindness and unity, honoring them not just today, but every day.
From all of us at the Easton Courier, we wish you a meaningful Veterans Day.
Editors’s note: American Legion Post 160 of Easton and Post 176 of Monroe will hold Veterans Day memorial services on the Stepney Green today at 11 a.m.
