The Easton Garden Club will be offering its Garden Mart Plant Sale on Saturday, May 10 at the Fireman’s Green at 1 Center Street from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. rain or shine. Perfect for Mother’s Day shoppers, and for all who want to enhance their outdoor spaces with beautiful and natural colors and flavors. Cash or check only.
The plant sale features perennials, Gilbertie’s organic culinary herbs, annuals, hanging baskets and more. It’s always a great rite of spring for fellow Eastonites and our neighbors and plant enthusiasts.
Garden Club members share plants from their own gardens to make them available to others. In this way buyers know the plants will flourish in our southern Connecticut soil and conditions. Conservationists and Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer questions and offer advice.
Plants are priced to be reasonable. And a warning: the sale is always busy! Discerning shoppers are encouraged to get to the Green early for maximum choices. The “gates” open at 9 a.m. and no earlier. And please note, cash or check only
