The Easton Public Library is offering a variety of programs for adults this fall.
The Friends of the Easton Public Library will hold their annual book sale from Oct. 2 through Oct. 4. The Kids’ Preview Sale will take place on Friday, Oct. 2 from 3:30 to 6 p.m. (with accompanying adult). On Saturday, the sale will be open from 9 to 4 p.m., and Sunday is “Fill a Bag for $10” Day from 12 to 4 p.m. The sale includes books, DVDs, CDs, games, puzzles, and vinyl.
On Friday, Oct. 16, the Library will host a Trivia Night for all ages, facilitated by David Plaue of Sticker Book Publishing. The event begins at 6 p.m., and pizza will be served.
Back by popular demand, Chef Deja of Khemi’s Vegan Cuisine will present another cooking demonstration on Saturday, Oct. 17, at 2 p.m.. She will explain how to make delicious and nutritious recipes, using fresh, local produce.
Also by popular demand, lecturer and storyteller Michael Langlois will be back at the Library on Saturday, Nov. 14, at 11 a.m., to present A Brief History of Acting. Langlois will trace the evolution of western acting styles, from Ancient Greek tragedies to the “Method” of modern acting.
The Library’s newly added program, Adult Crafternoon, will continue on October 8 with painting wine glasses and November 12 with creating fall-themed flannel-covered books. These programs start at 3:00pm.
The monthly Scrabble Club, biweekly Backgammon Club, and the Library’s two monthly book clubs will also continue.
