Samuel Staples Elementary School students participating in the minimum day program recently participated in The British Bake Off Jr., organized by Keysha Evans, extended-day director.
A take-off of the popular The Great British Bake Off series, the program had children competing in teams with staff helping to complete 3D structures. They were “astonishingly creative and very well made,” according to Alison Luciana of The Great British Cupcake LLC, who served as judge.
The winning team received gold medals. The winning team is shown with Keysha Evans, Alison Luciana and Zac Shortt, extended day staff member.
