John Shaban

For the last two months Former State Representative John Shaban has been part of an effort to distribute surgical masks to people in need.  The masks were secured through funding by anonymous republican donors.  Shaban is running for reelection to the State House seat he held for three terms from 2011 to 2017 (135th – Easton, Redding and Weston).

In a recent post, Shaban stated “I am pleased to have delivered over two thousand masks to Redding, Easton and Weston fire departments, senior centers, Meadow Ridge, and other neighbors and small businesses.”  Shaban stated that the mask distribution will continue for as long as needed during these final stages of the quarantine.

In the meantime, Shaban cited the “need to start planning for the resumption of normal life.  We can continue to be careful and compassionate, while also being confident as we rebuild and get our lives back on track.”

Shaban noted that, while there have been grave losses these last few months, “there has also been important gains – i.e., additional time with our families, a better understanding of our local community, and the knowledge that we have the ability to overcome.”

“Let’s rebuild together, starting with the private sector first.”
