In honor of the annual EMS week, the staff at Bridgeport Hospital awarded Easton Volunteer EMS with the Distinguished Service Award, recognizing Easton EMS for its dedication and professionalism in delivering patient care during the 2020 Pandemic.

The award was presented to EMS personnel on Sunday, May 17 at an outdoor ceremony at Easton EMS headquarters.

Wes Young, Bridgeport Hospital EMS coordinator and Dr. Paul Possenti, Bridgeport Hospital Medical Director, made the presentation.

To commend and thank the EMS crews, St. Vincent’s Medical Center delivered T-shirts to all members on Tuesday.

The Town of Easton thanked EMS members for their service by placing  a “thank you EMS” sign on the front lawn of each member. That was a heartwarming surprise for everyone!

The Easton Volunteer EMS Association gifted each member with a new name tag for their uniform.

Recently, various community groups and individuals have given the crews PPE, food and monetary donations.

A motorcycle club honored first responders throughout many towns with a drive by on May 16.

EMS personnel and equipment lined up in front of headquarters as EMS volunteers enjoyed a loud and moving show of support by many motorcycles.

These wonderful gestures have lifted our spirits tremendously.

Easton Volunteer EMS is dedicated to serving the ongoing emergency medical needs of Easton and beyond.  The paid crew and volunteers are very grateful for the gestures of appreciation.

Those also honored but unable to attend the recent tributes include: Paco Acosta, Marjorie Arnold, Christopher Augustine, Astrid Chen, Julie Curullo, Denise Darnell, Christina DiPalma, Joanna DiPalma, Peter Fiore, Adam Goldstein, Chloe Lancaster, Lorraine Mercede, Josh Meszaros, Peter Neary, Todd Olschan, Mary Pat O’Neil, Susan Quatrella, Luis Rodriguez, Zachary Schuler, and Joseph Seagren.
