
Ann Edwardson Holt passed away on October 10, 2021 in Charlottesville, VA at the age of 97. Ann grew up with her brother Lauren Edwardson on a twenty two acre farm with two barns in Kensington, Connecticut that her parents, Lawrence and Julia Edwardson, rented for $30.00 a month.
She married Cayford Holt and moved to Easton, Connecticut where she was an active member of the Episcopal Church being a choir member and helping with many of the Church functions and bazaars. She also helped out with events at the Easton Swimming Pool and Holiday Events at the local Grange Hall.
After raising three children, Ann worked at the University of Bridgeport and received a Master’s Degree in Counselling. Her degree led her to a job as a Counselor at Goodwill. She later moved to Charlottesville, VA where she worked a while at J.C. Penny before retiring to spend time browsing antique shops, reading, and generally relaxing.
She spent her final years dealing with dementia in a memory care facility in Charlottesville. She is survived by two daughters, Ann Rekhi, Janet Holt, one son, Mark Holt, a son-in-law Kanwal Rekhi, three Grandchildren, Raj-ann Rekhi Gill, Benjamin Rekhi, Robert Fitzgerald, a Grandson-in-law Pavan Gill, and two Great Grandchildren Rumi Gill and Aries Fitzgerald. A memorial will take place in the spring in Charlottesville, VA.
