
Allison Joy Bloom, age 53, of Williamsburg, VA (formerly of CT) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 with those who loved her by her side, following a prolonged illness.
Born on July 12, 1968, in New York City, she was the daughter of Robert and Lois Masket Bloom. A graduate of Fairfield University and Quinnipiac University, School of Law, Allison was admitted to practice law in Connecticut, the District of Columbia, the United States District Court (CT), and before the United States Supreme Court. During a career of more than 30 years, Allison served as an EMT, an attorney, a consultant, coach, author, and educator. She was extremely proud of her certification as an Emergency Medical Technician and had served as EMS Chief of Service, Director of Training and Personnel with Easton Volunteer EMS in Easton, CT.
From 2015 to 2020, Allison served on the Board of Directors with the National EMS Management Association (NEMSMA) and was a Fellow in the American College of Paramedic Executives (FACPE). Allison was instrumental in the development of a credentialing program for EMS Managers and worked with industry experts and trade shows to advance the program. Most recently, Allison co-founded her dream company, Cambridge Consulting Group where she served as Vice President, General Counsel, and Executive Advisor.
In addition to her beloved parents, Robert and Lois of Williamsburg, VA, Allison leaves behind her cousins, Laird and Sara Bloom, of Boston, MA, Bard and Vicki Bloom, of Westchester, NY, and Marc and Debbie Masket, and their daughter, Jaclyn, of Owingsmills, MD; as well as other family members and her many close friends, all of whom will cherish the years of joy, laughter and friendship.
On Saturday, January 8th, friends may visit from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. A funeral procession led by the Easton Volunteer EMS will proceed to Aspetuck Cemetery where she will be laid to rest. Additionally, a reception to celebrate Allison’s life will be planned for this coming spring and will be announced.
