March is Youth Art Month and in preparation for this Celebration, the Easton Arts Council is again presenting The Annual Youth Framing Workshop and Art Show.

The Framing Workshop will take place on Saturday, Feb. 5, from 10 a.m. to noon in the community room of the library. Canvas and paints will be provided for artists to create a piece of artwork which can then be framed with the assistance of our Arts Council members.

All the materials are provided free of charge with support from the Easton Lions Club. The event is open to all Easton area youth ages 4 to 18. Registration is not required but suggested as places are limited.

Contact Youth Art Director Christina Sarno at 203-216-1900 to pre-register. Information is also available on the website http://www.eastonartscouncil.org. Pandemic library regulations will be enforced as mask-wearing and social distancing.

The artwork created is then eligible to be hung at the 23rd Annual Youth Art Show. The receiving day for all forms of artwork is Sunday, Feb. 27 from noon to 3 p.m. The event is open to all Easton area youth ages 4 to 18. Up to two pieces of artwork will be accepted. All forms of art are eligible including photography, paint, sculpture, weaving, etc.

Two-dimensional artwork must be framed and ready to hand. The show will run from March 1 to April 30 in the community room of the Easton Library. A reception to honor all the artists will be held in the community room on Sunday, March 13 at 3 p.m. All artists will receive certificates of recognition.
