Mother’s Day plant sales are sprouting up in the area.  Easton resident Noreen Forde is organizing her third plant sale in honor of Mother’s Day to support cancer survivors like herself.

Within the past two years, she raised over $10,000 in sales for Clearity, a national organization that provides ovarian cancer patients, survivors and caregivers with counseling, treatment options and information on clinical trials.

This year’s sale will be held at The Castle, Black Rock at 3171 Fairfield Ave in Bridgeport on May 7 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. To purchase a plant, all that are interested can place an order at www.clearity.org/plantsct.

A variety of hand-dug perennials, colorful annuals, and even baked goods will be available for sale at the the Easton Garden Club’s Garden Mart on May 7 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Easton Firehouse Green. The event will also showcase Gilbertie’s pollinator friendly, organic potted herbs and a tent dedicated to Connecticut master gardeners and master composters. Pollinator Pathway signs will be offered as well.
