The Easton Arts Council will host a reception and awards ceremony for its Annual Photo Contest and Exhibition this Saturday, Nov. 19, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Easton Public Library.

Members of the arts council received the photographs for entry in early November, and Adger Cowans, the juror, has reviewed the photographs for judging. The popular show has been on display since Nov. 9 in the Library’s Community Room.

Photographers of all levels were invited to submit their photographs in either the “local” or “general” category. The local category must feature photographs taken in Easton, and the winning photograph in this category goes on permanent display in Easton Town Hall. General photograph entries may be taken anywhere and feature any subject.

Each of the first-place winners will receive a $100 cash award, and other photographers may receive certificates and ribbons at the judge’s discretion. The exhibit will be on display through Jan. 6.
