GIVING

Donate toys to the Easton Police Department during its Stuff-a-Cruiser event at the Easton Library’s parking lot at 691 Morehouse Road on Dec. 3 from 8 a.m. to noon.

Drop off donated diapers at Christ Church through Dec. 24. The diapers will go to  nOURish, a non-profit organization at the United Congregational Church in Bridgeport which offers support to food-insecure families. Donations can be dropped off in a bin outside the church front door at 59 Church Road. Diapers of any size and wipes are accepted. More info about Christ Church holiday events can be found here.

Donate a coat or help yourself to a coat to give away to someone in need during The Easton Arts Center’s annual Snowflake Swap. The center is currently collecting winter coats and accessories to benefit Bridgeport Rescue Mission.  Those who belong to an organization that needs coats/winter accessories for individuals can pick up donated coats or winter accessories at the center at 652 Morehouse Road after Dec. 15. Undonated coats and accessories will be delivered to Bridgeport Rescue Mission every few weeks . The program runs through February.

EVENTS
A Candy Cane Hunt will take place at Jesse Lee United Methodist Church at 25 Flat Rock Road on Dec. 3 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for children ages three to eight-years old. Registration is required. Call the church at 203-37-8250.

Holiday Market and Tree Lighting is scheduled at the Easton Library on Sunday, Dec. 4.

The Holiday Market and Tree Lighting ceremony will take place at the Easton Public Library at 691 Morehouse Road on Sunday, Dec. 4 from 2:30 to 6 p.m. A children’s sing- along will be held at 4:30 p.m. and the tree lighting a 5:15 p.m. with a special visit from Santa Claus and Ms. Claus.

Christ Church will host its annual Tree Lighting, Bonfire and Caroling on Saturday, Dec. 3.

 Christ Church at 59 Church Road  will host its annual Tree Lighting, Bonfire and Caroling on Dec. 3 at 5 p.m. The event will feature a steel drums accompaniment. Hot chocolate will be provided by the Boy Scouts and a bake sale to benefit a small school in Haiti will be offered for a free will donation. Participants are encouraged to dress warmly, wear boots, and bring a flashlight.  

Experience Christmas at Sport Hill Farm at 596 Sport Hill Road on Dec. 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. where you’ll find  unique items at the holiday market and baked treats.

BUYING

Head over to the Holiday Boutique at Easton Senior Center at 650 Morehouse Road for some last minute gifts and decorations. It is open through Dec. 23 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. All items are reasonably priced. All proceeds benefit the Senior Center. For more information, visit the Easton Senior Center.

On Dec. 3 The Congregational Church of Easton at the corner of Westport Rd and Center Rd will host its annual cookie bake from 9 a.m. to  noon. People are asked to pre order their orders on a form found on the church website. Each box of cookies costs $22. All order forms are due to the church office no later than Nov. 28.
