The Easton Board of Selectmen has released the agenda for a Special Town Meeting set to take place on Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. at Samuel Staples Elementary School.

The following items will be discussed and acted on at the meeting: 

  1. Approve the proposed amendment of the municipal land use fee schedule, Chapter 290-1 of the Code of the Town of Easton. 
  2. Approve the proposed amendment of the Board of Ethics ordinance, Chapter 52 of the Code of the Town of Easton.
  3. Approve to appropriate the amount of $244,000 from the undesignated fund balance for the new pickleball and tennis courts.

The following item approved by the Board of Selectmen will be discussed and shall be adjourned to a machine vote referendum to be held on Dec. 13, 2022, at Samuel Staples Elementary School from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

  1. Should the Town of Easton restrict the use of a town-owned, 10.9-acre parcel of property located at 18-22 South Park Ave., as set forth in the proposed “Conservation Restriction” on file in the Town Clerk’s office and published on the town website?
