The Annual Town Meeting will be held at Samuel Staples Elementary School on April 24 at 7 p.m. with the decision on accepting the budget proposals to be decided by a town-wide referendum on May 2.
The following items are on the agenda.
1. Discussion of the town budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024, as recommended by the Board of Finance. Presentations on the budget will be made by the Board of Finance, the local Board of Education and the Region 9 Board of Education.
2 Presentation of Region 9 for a bonding proposal in the amount of $4,500,000.
3. Acceptance of the five-year capital project plan.
4. Setting July 1, 2023 and January 1, 2024 for the Grand List bills.
5 Adjournment of the town meeting to a machine vote to be held May 2, 2023 at Samuel Staples Elementary School, 515 Morehouse Road, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. to vote on the Annual Town Budget and Region 9 bonding proposal.
