Area residents celebrated Juneteenth on Sunday with the The Carters band featuring Easton’s own Carl and Florisca Carter performing a mix of jazz, funk, soul, reggae and blues during the kick off to the popular Concerts on the Hill series at Christ Church.
The Juneteenth concert was organized with the help of Easton’s Diversity & Inclusion Taskforce and the Leonard-Litz Foundation, which sponsored the concert.
The Concerts on the Hill Pride celebration, co-hosted with Easton Pride, is scheduled for June 25 featuring Symphonic Bodega with Lara Schuler.
