Easton police are warning residents of an increase in car and truck entry and thefts. Officers patrol local roads but with limited resources cannot monitor every road and street at all times.

Police advise residents to lock their vehicle doors and remove all valuable items. Most of the vehicles that have been entered were unlocked. However, vehicle windows have been broken in the past if valuable objects were left in the car, according to police.

Residents should report all suspicious activity immediately by calling 203-268-4111, police said.
