The Easton-Sviatohirsk Sister City Steering Committee is pleased to announce its next fundraising event, Easton Rocks for Ukraine! Join us, along with co-host Christ Church Easton, for an outdoor benefit concert on Sunday, Sept. 10 from 3-5 p.m. at the church located at 59 Church Road.
This special event will feature Irena Hart and Friends. A Ukrainian-born singer/songwriter and activist, Irena will sing a sampling of Ukrainian songs followed by her “Friends”, a 3-piece band, performing a variety of popular and rock numbers. You just may want to get up and dance!
Thanks to Easton residents’ generosity, Ukraine Aid International has purchased and delivered a dump truck and water filtration system for Sviatohirsk. The steering committee is now focused on raising funds to purchase a pellet manufacturing machine. The pellets, sourced from the many destroyed trees in the town’s surrounding areas, will be used for heating fuel this coming winter. Without this equipment, Sviatohirsk homes will have no heat. Your help is now needed to raise $30,000 to acquire, deliver and install this machine. The Easton Rocks for Ukraine! concert proceeds will ensure that Sviatohirsk residents, schools and public buildings will be safe and warm during the winter months.
Concert tickets are $15 for adults and kids are free. Advanced tickets are encouraged via QR code shown below. Dogs on a leash are welcome. Pack a picnic and bring your chairs and blankets! In case of rain, the concert will be held indoors.
Donations for the Easton-Sviatohirsk Sister City campaign can be made by visiting www.UkraineAidInternational.org/donate where tax-deductible donations can be made by credit, debit, check or wire. Donors supporting the Easton-Sviatohirsk sister city partnership should choose the “Easton-Sviatohirsk Sister City” designation on the donation page.
Our sister city urgently needs our support to restore and rebuild. Please help Easton Rock for Ukraine!
