The town is ready to embrace the Halloween spirit with a wide array of events. Whether you’re into trick-or-treating under the full Hunter’s Moon, “chasing the legend” in the annual 5K walk/run, exploring the pop-up market or joining the Trunk or Treat and Bonfire, there’s something for everyone. Don’t miss out on these Halloween festivities, where the Easton community unites to create lasting memories and celebrate the autumn season.

As part of Easton’s Free Spirit Festival, Easton Parks & Recreation, Easton Town Cemetery Committee and Christ Church Easton are co-hosting the 2nd Annual Easton’s Chasing the Legend 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, Oct. 28. The race begins at 9 a.m. at the Christ Church parking lot located at 59 Church Road, Easton, CT 06611.

The Easton Town Hall will be decked out for Halloween so bring the kids for trick or treating from 4 to 5 p.m. on Oct. 31.

For a Howling Good Time Under the Hunter Full Moon, head to Shaggy Coos Farm at 63 Center Road on Oct. 28 from 12 to 3 p.m. “Moos and Boos trick-or-treating,” provides a great opportunity for kids to fill their goodie bags while savoring soft-serve ice cream.

Art enthusiasts and creative spirits should mark Saturday, Oct. 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on their calendars. The Easton Arts Center Pop Up Market is set to showcase the crafts and artworks of local vendors, offering a wide array of artistic treasures. The center is located at 652 Morehouse Road. Children’s activities will also be available, making this event a fantastic outing for the whole family.

One of the favorites of Halloween celebrations in Easton is the annual Trunk or Treat and Bonfire event on Oct. 31. This beloved community gathering is a collaboration between the Easton Lions Club and Easton Park & Recreation Department. The evening begins with trunk or treating at 5:30 (trunk set-up begins at 4:30). The costume contest starts at 6 p.m. showcasing Easton’s most creative and spooky costumes, followed by a grand bonfire that will light up the night. At 6:45 p.m. Knights and Gore will perform a thrilling show. This event is suitable for all ages, and registering is really easy. The cost of admission is a humble bag of candy, a heartwarming way to celebrate Halloween and give back to the community.
