The event raised $5,300 for Sviatohirsk to help the city rebuild its roads, buildings and utilities impacted by the ongoing Ukrainian war. Tickets were $10  person, $35 for a family of four.

The April 27 Touch A Truck event pulled in a crowd of all ages. More than 150 Easton residents attended to view various kinds of trucks that appealed to young families and children, with even a visit from the Decadent Dog food truck.

“We had a number of dump trucks, Easton fire and police, arborists, a truck of cherry pickers,” said Diane McCann, one of the organizers of the event. “We had an incredible turnout of young families. We gave each little kid a plastic work helmet when buying a ticket.”

In March 2023, Easton established a sister city program with Sviatohirsk located in the Donetsk region of Ukraine. The program is managed through Ukraine Aid International, which aims to establish a strong relationship between the two towns and provide much-needed aid and support to the people of Sviatohirsk.
