The Easton Public Library will exhibit “Colorful Horizons,” a compilation of the mixed media artwork of Easton resident Cara Forgione from Friday, May 17 to June 30 in the Library’s Small Gallery.

The opening reception will be held on Friday, May 17 from 6 to 8 p.m. and will also feature light snacks and refreshments.

Using a combination of acrylic underpainting with creative layering of tissue paper, grass cloth, magazine content, calendar graphics and recycled paper scraps, Forgione combines her love of nature, texture, and color to create moody landscapes, seascapes, and cloudscapes. A lifelong artist and hands-on creator, Forgione has developed this style over the last few years, combining her two favorite mottos: “Keep Creating” and “Reduce Reuse Recycle”.

The exhibit features work in various sizes and shapes, including small “bookcase” art pieces as well as larger sized framed works.
