Update 6/7/2024
Good afternoon,

We have had several significant auto accidents in town in a relatively short time frame recently. The police department is looking into whether the recent concentration is indicative of a real trend. We collect data and crashes, traffic stops and speeds which are registered by the speed signs such as you see in front of Silverman’s and the elementary school. The police commission, the chief and I are looking into data and into what we might do to make our roads safer. The chief will be presenting at the June 27 Board of Selectmen meeting.
