Joel Barlow High School hosted its 18th annual Barlow Palooza, a Celebration of Learning, on May 23. Students from all three of the Easton, Redding and Region 9 districts were highlighted and celebrated for their accomplishments and creativity.
Community members were treated to live music, engaging hands-on art demonstrations, a wonderful art show by the Joel Barlow High School art students and teachers, as well as a Future Falcon art show showcasing art from the elementary and middle schools of Easton and Redding.
In addition, many speakers, presenters, and Barlow alumni were on hand to discuss and share their rich occupational experiences after high school. Presenters of all ages shared their stories with current students, answering thoughtful questions and engaging the audience with their experiential insights.
Along with the speakers, groups and clubs were on hand to share the many wonderful things going on at the high school: from yearbook to litmag, debate to science research. Barlow’s very own robot, Chompy, was even on hand to show off its many skills and awards.
We continue to look forward to future Paloozas and warmly invite the community to celebrate all the exceptional learning occurring across the entire ER9 district.
