As we commemorate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we invite the Easton community to explore his life, work and enduring impact on the fight for justice and equality. Below is a collection of resources to inspire reflection and provide a meaningful way to celebrate his vision of a more just society and compassionate world.

Established by Coretta Scott King, The King Center includes Dr. King’s speeches, sermons, and writings. It also features virtual tours and digital resources that continue his legacy. 

The Martin Luther King Jr. Research and Education Institute at Stanford University provides an extensive archive of Dr. King’s writings, including his correspondence, sermons, speeches, published writings and unpublished manuscripts. This resource offers detailed insights into Dr. King’s thoughts and philosophies and is a valuable tool for those seeking to understand his impact on the civil rights movement and beyond.

The audio with a transcript of Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream” speech delivered during the March on Washington in 1963 is available in its entirety from the NPR website and additional context and resources related to his iconic speech are available from history.com.
