To the Editor:

The EMS renovation project is critical for Easton‘s infrastructure.

We need to ensure that our town has a state of the art building to house and support an effective EMS which is essential for the safety of all our citizens.

There is no question that we need to replace the 100 year old building that is in a deplorable state of disrepair.

As many people have already noted, there will be no tax increase required to fund it – the EMS has raised over $800,000, a combination of state and federal grants cover another portion and the balance will be made up from the “undesignated funds”, which is money the town has in savings because of prudent financial management.

Most agree that this is a worthwhile and necessary project.

What better way to use discretionary funds than to ensure the health and safety of every person in Easton.

Join me in voting Yes for the EMS!
