Westport Country Playhouse extends a cordial invitation to the Easton community to attend a performance of the highly anticipated production “Theatre People” on Wednesday, April 9.

“Easton Night,” will offer Easton residents the opportunity to come together with friends and neighbors for an evening of local theatre.

The event was conceived by Easton residents Claire Wilkes and Paige S. Couture, and members of the Westport Country Playhouse Board of Trustees. Their vision was to create a chance for Easton residents to celebrate the arts, foster community connections, and experience the magic of live theatre at the historic playhouse.

“We wanted to bring our Easton community together for a night of culture, camaraderie and great laughter,” said Wilkes. “Theatre has a unique way of uniting people, and we couldn’t think of a better way to share this experience with our friends and neighbors.”

Couture said, “Westport Country Playhouse has been a cornerstone of our region’s cultural landscape, and we are excited to welcome our fellow Easton residents to the playhouse, whether they’ve been before” or it’s their first time.”

“Theatre People,” the final production of the Playhouse’s Season of Laughter, deftly captures the spirit of classic 1940’s screwball comedies. Brimming with charm and behind-the-scenes mayhem, the show delivers nonstop laughter, making it a treat for both seasoned theatre-goers and newcomers alike.

Easton residents are encouraged to secure their tickets early and join in the special night of live performance and community spirit. The show is suitable for ages 14 and up.
