Ukraine Aid International will host Keys of Resilience, a benefit concert, on Thursday, March 5 at 7 p.m. at the Westport Country Playhouse.
Proceeds will support the organization’s ongoing humanitarian aid to Connecticut’s sister cities in Ukraine, including Easton’s Sviatohirsk, Westport’s Lyman, Weston’s Siversk, Fairfield’s Kostiantynivka, Stamford’s Kramatorsk and Ridgefield’s Druzhkivka. All are located near Ukraine’s eastern border.
The concert will feature Ukrainian pianist Ruslan Ramazanov, who was displaced by the war and now lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and Ukrainian American soprano Teryn Kuzma, an accomplished instrumentalist who also performs on the 55-string bandura, a traditional Ukrainian harp-zither with roots dating to the 1600s. Both artists will share personal reflections on Ukraine through a program spanning multiple musical genres.
The evening will also include UAI co-founder Marshall Mayer, members of the organization’s Connecticut sister-city steering committee, and families and friends of Ukraine.
Tickets are available online at the Westport Country Playhouse website.
