To commemorate Easton’s 175th anniversary, Citizens for Easton will produce a compendium of treasured recipes featuring locally sourced products from Easton’s farms. The decision was made when plans for the annual CFE Farm Tour were cancelled.
CFE is seeking family recipes and favorite dishes from residents as well as non-residents who work in Easton. They are also seeking group recipes from Easton police, fire and emergency services personnel, commissions, organizations, schools, elected officials and boards and businesses.

For the last 11 years, Citizens for Easton has hosted the CFE Farm Tour which drew hundreds of visitors to participating farms. This year, the COVID-19 pandemic compelled the cancellation of two of the summer’s most anticipated events, the Fireman’s Carnival and the Farm Tour.
“The Farm Tour evolved as a way to salute our farmers and the richness of our agricultural life,” said Deborah Klein, co-chair of the tour, and now co-chair of the cookbook committee.”Since we couldn’t safely host the tour, we decided on a different way to honor and support our farms.”
