The Easton Emergency Medical Service and Easton police officers responded to a Valley Road residence Sept. 24 at 4:14 p.m. on a report that a person had fallen in a driveway and was injured.
Upon arrival, the officers determined that a physical altercation had occurred between two individuals. The victim was taken to St. Vincent’s Medical Center for treatment of injuries that were sustained during the altercation.
The alleged offender, Wendell Wilson, 60, of Ansonia, who had left the scene, according to the police, was stopped and charged with multiple offenses. He was taken to the Easton Police Department where he was processed and held on a $50,000 bond.
Wilson was taken to Bridgeport Superior Court at 172 Golden Hill Street, Bridgeport, this morning for arraignment on the charges:
- Weapons in a motor vehicle
- Threatening, first degree
- Unlawful restraint, first Degree
- Criminal attempt to commit assault, second degree
- Operating a motor vehicle under suspension
Wilson was also charged on a paperless re-arrest network warrant (PRAWN) out of Bridgeport for failure to appear in court.
These are allegations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
