Dolly Curtis has been chosen as this year’s recipient of the Anne Lindquist Library Spirit Award, which is presented annually by the Easton Public Library Board of Trustees. The award honors a volunteer who has contributed significant time and talent to the Library. It is named for the late Anne Lindquist, who was a strong advocate for the Library. Anne was one of the supporters who were instrumental in getting the new Library built back in 1996.
Dolly has been curating the Library’s art exhibits for decades, providing exposure for local artists. She is a very active member of the Easton Arts Council, which enjoys a close partnership with the Library.
“I was very surprised and honored, especially because Anne Lindquist was my friend,” said Curtis. “She represented a true Easton community spirit. Anne was a role model and to be associated with her name is a real honor. I am very pleased. Thank you to all who made this happen.”
The Library Board of Trustees will honor Dolly with an Award Reception on Sunday, Sept. 19 from 2 to 4 p.m. on the Library grounds. Refreshments will be served, and all are welcome to attend. If you plan to attend, please RSVP to Lynn Zaffino, Library Director by email (lzaffino@eastonlibrary.org) or by phone (203-261-0134).
