To the Editor:
Of all the boards and commissions in Easton, the Board of Finance is arguably the most important. Why? Because they hold the purse strings of the entire town. They must be visionary, responsible and adaptable to the circumstances of every element of town finance.
Board members Art Laske, Ira Kaplan and Jackie Kaufman will fight insensitive and unnecessary budget cuts to Park and Rec, police and education. Art, Ira and Jackie will continue to bring rationality and clear thinking to the budget process.
Vote for this Democratic trio of experienced citizens with integrity and intelligence to balance the board and adequately fund town departments.
