The 23rd Annual Easton Arts Council Youth Art Show is on display in the Community Room of the Easton Public Library until April 30. This show is the first in-person exhibit since the event was forced to go virtual in 2020 due to the pandemic.
There are 26 participants with ages ranging from 6 to 18 representing students in grades 1 to 12 from the towns of Easton, Fairfield, Redding, and Southport. The entries include a wide variety of media including watercolor, acrylic, ceramics, jewelry, mixed media, pen and ink, chalk, and photography.

The Easton Arts Council would like to give a special thanks to the Easton Lions Club as this is the sixteenth year of their supporting the Arts in Easton. The donations started with our first juried art show, “Art in the Country,” which was exhibited in 2006 at the Bradley Hubbell House. After that, the Lions Club concentrated on our youth by supporting the annual Youth Framing Workshop and the Youth Art Show through a generous monetary donation. We could not do these shows without their help.
We also want to thank the Easton Public Library for the use of the Community Room for our events and the school art teachers who have encouraged the young artists. The Arts Council believes that all our youth should have the opportunity to express themselves creatively. Part of our mission statement is to provide a venue for these artistic endeavors.

We also recognize our young artists by giving monetary awards of recognition each year to 8th- and 11th-grade students in both the visual and performing arts. We appreciate our unique relationship with both the Easton Public Library and the Easton Lions Club to help us achieve our goals. By working together, we can accomplish even more things!
