Each May, Joel Barlow High School invites the Easton and Redding communities to the school campus for Barlow Palooza, a festival that brings together students and community members to celebrate their academic and artistic accomplishments.

In a message to the community, Superintendent Dr. Jason McKinnon enthusiastically invited Easton and Redding residents to attend this year’s academic festival. “This event is a celebration of learning for the ER9 community that includes student capstone presentations, robotic demonstrations, science and invention activities, and cornerstone projects,” said McKinnon. “We hope to see you there!”
Lisa Campeau-Fenzel, who volunteers on Barlow’s Community Assets Network (CAN) Committee and is a parent of four students in the ER9 schools, says Palooza is a wonderful event for ER9 families and the community at large.
“Whether a parent or community member who has a scholar at the high school or not, it’s meaningful to hear the ideas and views of our youth, and to provide them support and feedback,” said Campeau-Fenzel. “They are our future, our leaders of tomorrow.”
The 2022 Palooza will take place on Thursday, May 26 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at JBHS, 100 Black Rock Turnpike in Redding.
