The Friends of the Easton Public Library raised more than $5,400 during the national “Library Giving Day” campaign earlier this month.

Beth Cliff with Friends of the Easton Public Library said the money will go towards books, magazines, programs and services that keep the library well-stocked and useful for all.

“This is the largest donation we’ve had in the three years we’ve been running this program,” said Cliff. “We are deeply grateful.”

It was the third year the library participated in the annual event held on April 4 when townspeople across the country supported their local libraries with financial donations.

The Friends of the Easton Public Library are a group of volunteers who plan activities and events that add to the community life and energy of the town, while often raising funds that enable the library to invest in areas they wouldn’t otherwise have the funds to do so.

Membership to the group is open and it is always seeking volunteers. Please visit https://www.eastonlibraryfriends.org for more information.
