Love your pets? Offer them a special blessing and celebrate the life of St. Francis of Assisi on Sunday, Oct. 8 at Christ Church during a 9:30 a.m. service outdoors that will include the traditional blessing of “all creatures great and small.”

Visiting Priest Rev. Matthews will proclaim St. Francis’s love for, and devotion to, all of God’s creatures. He will bless them at the church’s outdoor service (weather permitting). This also includes any stuffed animals loved by children of all ages. Snacks for animals will be provided.

The service will also include prayer honoring the indigenous people upon which Christ Church was built. Since Christ Church presents itself to the community as inclusive, all are always welcome, including animals! Come join us!

The Parish of Christ Church located at 59 Church Street in Easton recognizes it occupies the ancestral lands and traditional territory of the (Aspetuck River Valley dwelling) Paugussett people.
