The Hot to Trot Trio returns for another installment in its “Lighthearted Look At Romance” series on Sunday, Oct. 15, at 3 p.m. in the community room of the Easton Public Library, sponsored by the Easton Arts Council.

The trio has been performing together for eight years and will present a retrospective entitled “A Lighthearted LookBACK at Romance.” The repertoire is primarily The Great American Songbook with some operetta and Tin Pan Alley thrown in to spice things up. In honor of George Gershwin’s 125th birthday this year, there is a strong emphasis on his work. And as usual, the trio’s trademark witty dialogue has been updated.

The trio hails from Easton, Joanne Kant, vocalist; Bridgeport, Tom Zimmerman, vocalist; and Naugatuck, Olga Kalinina, piano. They have performed at such venues as The Bijou Theatre in Bridgeport, the Thomaston Opera House, the Richter Center for the Performing Arts and numerous libraries and senior centers.

Admission is free, and donations are welcomed for Arts Council scholarships.
