Palm Sunday will be commemorated at Christ Church on March 24 at 9:30 a.m. The Right Rev. Laura J. Ahrens, Bishop Suffragan of Connecticut, will lead the Eucharistic service.
The service will begin outdoors where fresh palms will be distributed to church goers. Once inside the church, the Passion of Christ will be recited by parishioners playing the parts of those who witnessed the trial, procession to Calvary, and crucifixion of Christ. A coffee hour including baked goods will follow the service.
Easter Sunday will be celebrated on March 31 by the Rev. Canon Tim Hodapp at the 9:30 a.m. service. A special choir performance is planned. Following the service, children will be invited to participate in the church’s traditional Easter Egg Hunt, and all are invited to share in a generous Easter brunch.
