Boy Scout Troop 66 will be back in March better than ever with its 16th annual Gourmet Breakfast. Troop 66 is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2025, so there are plans to have a historical display of the troop during the event. The troop will also have a special celebration for the anniversary coming up in the spring.Â
The annual Gourmet Breakfast will take place on Saturday, March 29 from 7:30 a.m. to noon at the Easton Community Center and will serve the same breakfast fare that draws hundreds to the event each year.
Tickets will be available in advance and at the door when the event date gets closer. All profits go directly to benefit the Scouts in the troop.The funds will be used toward camping, outings, and high-adventure trips.Â
Sponsor and ad opportunities are available for the event. Each year, the Scouts create a placemat for the breakfast, which includes ads from local businesses or individuals who wish to show their support for Troop 66. They also offer table sponsorships as an additional way for the community to support the troop.Â
“The scouts in the troop work as greeters and servers, while the troop’s parents do the food preparation,” said Selectman Kristi Sogofsky. “It’s an amazing display of teamwork and cooperation.”
