Mary Beth Rassulo, assistant director/head of youth services, and Shannon Bruchal, library assistant, took their roving camera around town to encourage participation in the One Book/One Town Community Read at the Easton Public Library.
This year’s One Book/One Town selection is Normal, a moving memoir written by Magdalena Newman that tells the story of raising Nathaniel, who was born with a severe form of Treacher Collins Syndrome, a cranio-facial difference.
The One Book/One Town project starts March 6 with a showing of the movie Wonder (PG). After the movie, there will be pizza and a discussion. Authors Magdalena and Nathaniel Newman will be at the library on Saturday, April 18, at 1 p.m., for a presentation and book signing.
The final One Book/One Town event for this year is the Family Book Discussion on Saturday, April 25, at 3 p.m. See the two-months-long One Book/One Town event calendar here.
To register, use the online event calendar at http://www.eastonlibrary.org/calendar-list, or contact Lynn Zaffino at 203-261-0134, or via email at lzaffino@eastonlibrary.org.
Multiple copies of the adult and youth versions of the book are available at the library.
